3. Cấu trúc bài IELTS writing task 1 – process

Có 3 phần chính:

• MỞ BÀI: 1 câu – Paraphrase lại đề thi bằng cách dùng từ đồng nghĩa hoặc thay đổi cấu trúc câu (nếu có thể).
• TỔNG QUAN: 1- 2 câu.
• THÂN BÀI: chia ra 2 đoạn, mỗi đoạn khoảng 2-3 câu.

Xét ví dụ dưới đây để có cái nhìn cụ thể về cách viết PROCESS nhé !

Đề bài: The diagram below shows the process by which bricks are manufactured for the building industry.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.

 Phần mở đầu – Introduction

• Paraphrase lại câu của đề bài bằng những cấu trúc sau:
  • The chart/diagram (shows/describes/illustrates) how +clause

• The production of……………..
• The process of producing/ making………………
• How………….is produced/ made.
• How to produce/ make…………

• The diagram illustrates the process of making bricks for building purposes.

Phần tổng quan – Overview

Ở phần này, bạn cần xác định tổng số bước trong quy trình, bắt đầu/ kết thúc bằng bước nào.

Một số mẫu overview tham khảo:

• There are … main steps in the process, beginning with … and ending with ….
• The process begins with … and ends with …
• It can be seen that there are … steps in this process, beginning with … and ending with ….

• Overall, brick production involves 8 steps, starting from the digging stages and ending at the delivery stage.

Phần thân bài

Ở phần này, thí sinh cần trình bày kĩ từng bước diễn ra trong bài process trong 2 đoạn.

Lưu ý, thí sinh cần kết nối các bước bằng các từ nối miêu tả trình tự  (sequencing words) mỗi khi chuyển sang bước mới của quy trình.

♥ Gợi ý Outline thân bài:

Body 1: 3 giai đoạn đầu

• Stage 1: the clay is collected by a digger machine
• Stage 2: It is then placed onto a metal grid and put through a roller
• Stage 3: It is mixed with sand and water → is either put in a mould or cut by a wire cutter to make he raw shape of the bricks.

Body 2: 4 giai đoạn còn lại

• Stage 4: the shaped raw bricks are dried for 24 to 48 hours in a drying oven.
• Stage 5: the dried raw bricks are kept in a kiln, both in moderate and high temperature, up to 1300 degree centigrade
• Stage 6: they are cooled (48-72hrs)
• Stage 7: they are packaged and transported by a truck
